"We've Been Blessed to Bless"

A Letter from Pastor Mike Smith

Dear Redeeming Love and
Broader Christian Community,

For over 30 years, we have been steadfast in bringing  the transformative hope of the Gospel to St. Paul, a city uniquely positioned for profound influence. Our calling has been to shift the atmosphere – from despair and poverty to one of hope and generosity – establishing a foundation of ministries and churches committed to serving both our city and our world.

Since 1981, we have worked to strengthen ministries and advance the Gospel, both locally and globally.

Today, we sense a pivotal moment in our mission: a renewed calling to deepen our impact and further transform St. Paul. Anchored in the Great Commission, our vision is to make disciples who make disciples—people blessed to be a blessing, positioned to bring meaningful change to our city and beyond.

Looking ahead, we dream of St. Paul fulfilling its apostolic destiny, transforming from an urban center once marked by brokenness into a model of hope and restoration for the nation. To realize this vision, we are launching a bold initiative to establish a state-of-the-art distribution center. This center will serve as a hub for addressing systemic poverty, and empowering individuals and families, igniting a movement to bless St. Paul and inspire cities across the country with hope and healing.

This is more than a project; it is a mission to elevate St. Paul into its God-given role as an epicenter of generosity and renewal. Together, we can IGNITE HOPE in St Paul.

With love in Christ,
Pastor Mike Smith, Lead Pastor

Ignite Hope

Crucial Building Renovations

Since 1981 our mission has been to establish like-minded ministries and strengthen churches to bless St. Paul and support global missions. Historically, we’ve prioritized others’ needs over our own, but now it’s time to steward our own facility to sustain and expand our outreach. Our building has been a vital hub for urban ministries and regional gatherings and with God’s guidance, we believe key leaders and resources are aligning to enable us to further transform our city for His purpose.

Launching a Transformative Distribution Center

For years, we have used our Redeeming Love to provide the basic needs of those in our community. The reality is we have maxed out our ability to be able to serve the growing demand. The Gospel is clear about taking care of the needs of the marginalized and suffering and we have always been passionate about being the hands and feet of Christ. Opening a distribution center will allow us to increase our capacity to serve more families, right here in our own backyard.

2026 is the 70th year of Redeeming Love Church and the 45th year of Pastor Mike and Sandi Smith being our leaders. Both of these key milestones are landing as we begin Vision 2023, further cementing the spiritual significance of this season.
